Nissans flagship car the GTR, nicknamed "GODZILLA" A Japanese built racing machine, does it live up to expectations? The GTR has a rich history tracing back to the 70s, its renowned for being both a road and track car. The Nissan GTR is a reasonably priced super-car that for years has broken and set records making it a player that all other car makers want to put their models against. The Nissan GTR used to be called "Nissan Skyline GTR" Nissan then gave the name skyline over to its other brand Infiniti leaving the three letters GTR alone to represent the supercar. From straight six engines and rear wheel drive GTRs to V6 engine all wheel drive GTRs Nissan has definitely managed to evolve the legendary car with changing times and keep the huge fan base of the flagship car happy.
Under the hood the 3.8l V6 engine hand built by "takumi" Nissan's highly skilled craftsman it makes 565 Horsepower which takes at from 0 - 60 in 2.9 seconds and pushes it to a top speed of around 314km p/hr on its four wheel drive train. The 6 speed dual clutch transmission is cleverly placed near the back of the car and which gives the GTR better weight distribution. The titanium exhaust is super light and loud.
First noticeable change in the interior co-designed with game designers is the fully adjustable steering wheel with the shift paddles attached. It has a 8 inch center touch screen. Bose sound system, two cup holders in the front and one in the back. Overall it looks and feels great with the carbon and leather finishes, the seats are quite comfortable however the rear seats don't have the best leg room for your buddies. If you're traveling or shopping you'll enjoy the very decent boot space for your stuff in the boot.
The GTR makes for a great daily drive that you can still confidently pull into a race track with to have some good fun.
